Cross Ventilation The Casa en Rio Cedro

Those with a keen eye for architecture recognised immediately the windy, wallless Casa en Rio Cedro as the work of the famous Colombian firm Plan B.The name of the city by the sea Caribbean that is, the Casa en Rio Cedro boasts an entirely bio climate design. Normally, architects used Windows and walls to regulate the temperature inside a house, but Plan B likes to do things in an unconventional way. A philosophy of walls does not mean that the entire building is based on the mild climate of Colombia. The roof, made of reforestada certified wood and straw nearby, has been installed to ensure the comfort of the tenants during the rainy season. Best of all, the orientation of the building takes advantage of wind currents, ensuring a good pattern of cross ventilation. The Casa en Rio Cedro proves that comfort and eco-friendly design are not only compatible, but also complimentary. References: planbarquitectura and treehugger.
