Paying homage to the extinct Mastadon, the Solar Wave Pavilion is Michael Jantzen’s attempt to design an eco-friendly structure that uses a variety of alternative energy sources.
The wavy roof will collect solar energy and provide a storage system which can then be transferred to the grid. The wavy roof allows solar cells to capture energy more efficiently. The structure is open to provide a park for the community it serves. References: and ecofriend.org.
