Italian Autogrill opens three service stations in Orte-Ravenna eco road building designed by Giulio Ceppi from Total Tool, Milano. The green roof, watered with rainwater, makes a high level of insulation and reduces impact on the landscape.
The building construction used are fully recyclable polystyrene and insulation, which are then covered by a layer of concrete. Air conditioning is based on a special system low enthalpy geothermal energy production.
All-in-all helping to reduce CO2 emissions by 75% while energy consumption is reduced to 35% compared with the traditional cafes of this type. Artificial lighting comes from LED technology and interior materials such as resin floor, are all natural and recyclable, too. It is a truly unique sustainable project that now develops further. This Sustainable architecture is a great example of how design can affect our everyday life!
