'Homage To The Elm Trees' Lies-Marie Hoffmann exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden offers a stark reminder that even the deepest and largest of the microorganisms in nature still needs to be protected, preserved and cared for.
To highlight the environmental message and forward it to your community, Lies-Marie Hoffman has worked with people from the Nordic tree care to make the plants infected by Dutch elm disease in beautiful benches and chairs placed throughout the city. Carefully cut each log with a chainsaw, was able to do it in such a way that highlights his innate natural beauty.
The result is an extraordinary collection of environmental art that serves the dual function of providing people a place to sit, giving them the opportunity to experience and appreciate the natural world in a more close and personal. References: l-mh and gizfactory
