Although there are a lot of minimalist pieces of furniture out there, I must say that the series Simplissimo takes the cake. Not only for its simple beauty, but also for the amazing name of the collection. A series of sessions, the collection is so minimal, but extremely fascinating to watch.
Created by Paris-based industrial designer Jean Nouvel, the Simplissimo series is designed for the French-based furniture company Ligne Roset. The collection is comprised of a chaise lounge, fireside chair, footstool, banquette and bench.. Each piece is upholstered in black fabric that covers a comfortable polyurethane foam. The series is also Simplissimo made of welded tubular steel, MDF and plywood for the back panel. I like that the series is both square and curved Simplissimo. References: jeannouvel and design-milk.
