Marine Shackle "U" Shaped Base In The Hybrid Chair

The Hybrid chair can serve as a dining chair, a stool, an ottoman or lined up together, until a bench. It consists of two components, a base and a back, and some provide elements of stainless steel hardware. With the back in the place, you have a dining chair. Removing it produces a stool or an ottoman. Multiple ottomans can be linked to form a bench of any desired length. As the base of the chair, the back is simple and minimum in the form.

The design of The Hybrid Chair was experimenting with simpler forms, the bent "U" shaped base was inspired by a marine shackle to be simple but incredibly strong and stable grip.

The geometry of the 2 components is almost childlike and very playful in its simplicity, while it shows a humorous personality. Designer: Martin Davis
