Definite Appeal Canopy Bed By Kris Van den Berghe
Open plan living spaces have a definite appeal, although this Canopy Bed by Kris Van den Berghe offers a chic way to take back a bit of privacy in the bedroom. Emulating a traditional type of toilet furniture, this graceful adaptation curves slightly outside the Racecourse.
Reducing the rigidity of straight perpendicular supports, the designer constructed this soft Cabinet enclosure with a flexible metal frame. The cloth can even be removed to expose the sleeping space if desired, and easily washed in the laundry with few complications.
The combination of the subtle yet sharp form and coloring makes the object distinctively contemporary. But aesthetics are not the only era marker of this Canopy Bed by Kris Van den Berghe, because it can be outfitted quite futuristically with a projected TV. References: vomo.be and dornob.
