There is always a new way to build with old materials, and Branch by Marc van der Voorn proves. The dining table may embody a medieval aesthetic vaguely, but its execution is calculated and contemporary.
The designer gets a bit of an act of balance in the composition of the object as well as a whole. There are no two pieces of wood touch each other, the same happens with the main components of steel and the general form of decoration seems to be slightly on the European oak surface.
Looking from the side, the kitchen table has a weightless appearance, despite the density of the board at the top. Detailing black metal gives Branch by Marc van der Voorn industrial elegance to the piece complemented with a wide range of domestic issues. References: marcvandervoorn.nl and yankodesign.
