This multimillion-dollar floating staircase is located in the store for Tommy Hilfiger in New York. It is a unique architectural wonder - the only of its kind in the world.
Americon Contractors, with the collaboration of Callison Architecture Inc., was accompanied by a team of industrial designers, mechanical engineers and all the structural engineers of Toronto, Canada. They all arrived together to make this floating staircase in the ship of Tommy Hilfiger flagship store a reality.
Designer Adam Shepperdley of Features Walters was the lead designer and project manager. He created the 3D model in which the staircase was based. The floating staircase at the Tommy Hilfiger store took 18 months to complete. References: featurefactory and trendhunter.
