The Upside Down chair is a remarkable piece of furniture by Floris Wubben. With its branches protrude downward instead of towards the sky, the chair is understood as a backwards willow tree.
To create this wild dhair, Floris Wubben manipulated the branches of a willow tree, forcing them to grow in the four legged through the use of the tablets and binds.
The headquarters and support simply were then cut in the trunk. Floris Wubben had some help with this twisted project, as it was a collaboration with artist Bauke Fokkema. References: floriswubben.nl and dezeen.
