The Waiheke Island house, designed by Mitchell and Stout Architects, was conceived and created for customers who wanted a weekend house and vacations that could be used as an escape from the city.
The mandate of the Waiheke Island house that Mitchell and Stout Architects received was that the house itself had to be a place where guests can stay for some time. Additionally, the space had to encourage owners to a different pattern of life that would be a tendency in the city.
The beautiful house on an island near Auckland, New Zealand has plenty of open spaces in and around the house. The Waiheke Island home is an idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. References: mitchellstoutarchitects.co.nz and archdaily.
