Before the emphasis on sustainable architecture became fashionable to use foreign materials to the construction of homes, people did just to be different. Like the Glass House, for example, is made of 500,000 embalming fluid bottles. David Brown retired after 35 years of drawing blood from the bodies and replacing the liquid proper burial. He built his house on a whim and with the support of bottles donated by friends in the business.
